Active Schools Week 2018
We have been participating in National Active Schools week from April 23rd to April 27th.
Every morning, we have been doing various activities at stations on the yard. We have also been doing some dancing in our classroom in the afternoons. Being active is so important and can be so much fun!

Our Last Term - Time to Read
We returned to school on the 9th of April, refreshed after our Easter holidays. We have a lot to do in the next few weeks before the summer comes. One of the most exciting things on our to do list is reading! Can you believe it? We are going to become the best readers with a lot of practice in school and at home. We have already started a new book together called "Look Out Teddy". Here are the characters below;
"Look Out Teddy" is a funny book about how Finn gets Teddy and runs around the house with him while Kitty tries to stop him. We have listened to teacher reading the story to us. Sometimes she needs help with the new words so we sound them out for her. Soon we will be able to read it all by ourselves and show teacher how it's done! Here is our Literacy Zone where we explore new words and reading.
See key words below from our reader, "Look Out Teddy".
Check us out below reading for our friends and for our teacher in the reader's chair.
Cherry Blossom Trees
We have noticed the beautiful cherry blossom trees on our walks to and from school. Our art work is so good that it looks like we took a photograph of the trees, wouldn't you agree?
Yummy Jelly in my Belly
We made delicious jelly in school this month. It was fun to see how it went from being liquid to being solid after a few hours in the fridge. We took it home to eat it and it was yummy! Check out below if you'd like to make some too.
